Setting AVR Phones to Talk Press the voice command key, then tap the right soft for settings. Options are: press number or just nav down for each. 1: Choice List : settings are, Always on (this needs to be set for better vocal match) / Always off. 2: Train Voice : Use to make phone to understand your speech. Just follow the voice prompts. 3: Sensitivity : Sets the sensitivity for determining potential matches to your verbal commands. Options are : High / Medium / Low. This is set to medium as default. 4 : Prompts: The Prompts options (which are spoken, this is a 2nd sub level !) are, 1: mode, 2: timeout. First go to 1: mode, the settings are, prompts Readout Tones only. Select readout and press "OK". This sets the talking keys and all available talking menus to speak. Timeout is default to 5 seconds. Now for setting name/caller id and ring. Press 5, for "Call Alert". The settings are: ring only Name and ring Name repeat. Ring only is default, so nav down once and tap "OK" to select name and ring. Press end or close the phone to return to the main screen. Other options: Setting service alerts: Set ERI on Set minute beep on Set call connect to on Set 911 supported so if you use phone in an emergency call, cops can find you. Set phone to announce caller and ring and vibrate Set voice privacy to enhance. For the new EnV2: You have a key guard on. But first you need to get the options running. open the phone and press the space key. This is the key in the right hand corner, its 3 keys in from the right hand corner. Or there is one on the left hand corner as well. The phone will say please say a command, then you want to press the right soft key. These keys are above the keypad at the top sort of near the middle, they are a bit recessed but you should feel them. When you hit the right soft key you will hear choice list, arrow down until you hear prompts. Press ok on prompts. The ok key is on the right hand side. You should see a group of keys that look like arrow keys; the ok key is in the middle. Now you will hear the phone say mode, press ok again on mode. Now you won't hear any speech but arrow down once, and the phone will beep, press ok to set the prompts on read out all. Now you should have the voice set up. Now to turn off the key guard, go into the menus, I'm not exactly sure where it is, but it should say key guard. I have the EnV and mine is under phone settings, but I think the env2 is different. When you find key guard press ok, then press ok again the first option is always off. Hope that helps. If you find you want to lock it manually press and hold down the pound key. \ Setting up the LGVX9100 or EnV2 The right soft key can only be accessed when the phone is open. Press the space key to access the voice commands menu and then the right soft key is on the top of the keyboard near the hinges. They are a bit hard to feel at first, but they are there. So to access the choice list etc she should press the right soft key with the phone open as the phone closed does not have a right soft key. there is a right soft key when the phone is closed, it is on the top right just under the display, and above the end key. first you will have to press the ok key twice to unlock the key guard... and while the phone is open all you have to do is to hit the right side space key witch is located on the bottom third key in from the right...
